Who Does This?

I wrote to an organization in St. Louis about an internship for next semester. Instead of a "thank you for your interest, but we are unable to accommodate you at this time," I got this:

Unfortunately (for you, that is), we have already obtained an intern and have offered our second internship to another as well. I'm sorry that you were not even considered this semester.

Way to professionally word something...you need way more than an intern.
