I asked what Madame's name is.
Her name is Fafou.
Her real name is Janine.
Janine in France is a name reserved for lower classes and since she does not consider herself a member of this class, she denounced her name in favor of a silly nickname.
End of story.

well at least you found out. That's better than not knowing at all. That reminds me of Irish maids who would change their names from Maggie or Katie to Margaret and Catherine when they made enough money for quit working.
